Stephen Bennett

Stephen graduated from the School of Resource & Environmental Management in 1994. His primary interests here were in forest ecology and ecosystem management. His masters project was entitled "Initiatives In Wildlife Tree Management: An Evaluation Of The High-Cut Stumping Technique". In this project he censused forest bird communities pre- and post-harvest to determine their response to varying densities of 3 m stumps left in clearcuts. High-cut stumping has since become a relatively common practice throughout BC.
