Laurie graduated from the School of Resource & Environmental Management in 2002. Her masters project was entitled "Forests and First Nations Consultation: Analysis of the Legal Framework, Policies, and Practices in British Columbia". Laurie is currently working as a resource management consultant for Cortex Consultants Inc. Most of her work focuses on forest policy analysis and land use planning processes involving First Nations and other levels of government. Recent projects include endangered species policy analysis, technical writing, and collaborative work with First Nations on natural resource management issues.
